Christchurch’s Glorious Graffiti Art

If you have never been to Christchurch it is a very walkable city filled with pockets of retail and commercial space next to a large botanical garden.

Christchurch has become one of the top destinations for street art, thanks in part to the 2011 earthquake, which left many blank walls and open spaces for artists to transform. The buildings are multi storied but many stop at 5 to 8 stories and spread out allowing for large canvases.

The graffiti art work is unique and extremely high quality. It’s easy to spend the day meandering the city and discovering all the artwork.

This is an appreciation post to the talent and diversity.
