As an American abroad I have had multiple instances over 3 days in Great Britain where directions are not correct to retail or restaurants. Warning: The venues are inside buildings called “Arcades” to negate the weather and in some cases difficult to find entrances or do not exist.
In Cardiff I couldn’t find the Hotel. This is because there wasn’t any large, visible signs but also because the directions do not indicate that the entrance is inside another building. This added an extra 30 minutes of walking in a rectangle with heavy bags in rain. In Liverpool I couldn’t find the breakfast bakery which added insult to injury because I get Hangry! May still be now…
I will state ignorance on my part since I have limited northern experience and understand these are crucial at neutralizing outdoor weather. The more you know!
Rant over. Go about your day.
